About Fadi Farhat

Fadi Farhat is a lawyer practising at Gulbenkian Andonian (GA) Solicitors, a top Legal 500 firm renowned for its Immigration, Asylum and Human Rights work, under the supervision and tutelage of Mr. Dave Vasoodaven and, formerly, Dr. Bernard Andonian, a part-time Immigration Judge.

Fadi FarhatFadi Farhat heads the Appeals and Public Law litigation practice at where he has a wealth of experience in this area of law.

Fadi completed his Law Degree with First Class Honours and has also completed Master of Laws degree and a Postgraduate Diploma. He is currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Modern Foreign Languages. Fadi was awarded the Middlesex Law Society prize for Excellence in Law and the prestigious Sweet & Maxwell prize for his academic writing.

Fadi has a wealth of experience having started legal practice in 2007 at the age of 19 and has since progressed from Legal Clerk, Paralegal and completed his Training Contract. To date, he has handled major cases from employment disputes to deportations of foreign criminals whether in private practice or in the voluntary/charity sector where he has volunteered for several legal charitable organisations over a consistent period of time since October 2008.

His cases often progress to the High Court and even the Court of Appeal where he has settled several pleadings. Fadi carries out his own advocacy in the Immigration and Asylum Chambers of the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal. To date, he has worked on approximately 5,000 cases and has carried out his own advocacy in over 400 individual hearings. He prides himself on his thorough preparation, detailed pleadings and high level of personal engagement with clients.

Additionally, Fadi writes his own pleadings at every step in the process from representations to the Home Office, grounds for Judicial Review, grounds for permission to appeal, skeleton argument, witness statements and all other aspects of legal drafting. The quality of his written work has received plenty of praise.

His current appointment in the voluntary sector is as a Trustee of the Richmond Legal Advice Service (RLAS) which has been providing legal advice to residents of Richmond for the last 50 years.

Fadi is also involved in Local Government politics and was a candidate for the Conservative Party in the 2014 Local Elections. He is a prospective candidate for the 2018 Local Elections. In his activity with the Conservative Party, he has met with former immigration Minister, James Brockenshire and discussed policy on immigration detention. He has also met and provided legal advice to the former London Mayor, Boris Johnson.
